Booklet with 10 b/w picture postcards from Louvain in original wrappers. – ‘On the 25th of August 1914 and the days following, the German troops burnt Louvain – the Collegiale Chruch of St. Peter the University, Outer Hall and Library, the Law Courts, the University consular and Commercial School, the Academy of Fine Arts, the Theatre, the Office Tout-Louvain, and more than 2,000 houses. They brutally killed 209 people, among whom 20 women and 11 children’. – Fine copy
