He was born to Jewish, working-class parents of Eastern European descent. – After a trip through Europe and North Africa while hitchhiking, he starts to photograph from 1956 to 1969 and settled in Amsterdam. Back in New York he travels through many countries to make reports of populations and wars. His work harvest great appreciation on exhibitions, at appearance in magazines and special editions in book form. In this review are almost 200 black-and-white photos of his subject: portraits of people around the world. – Good/fine copy
