On the day of my arrival it was snowing heavily on the mountain, on the top of which several feet of snow were deposited. Because of the snow and a brisk gale, I was unable to go up the mountain. Unexpectedly the weather became fine the next morning. The day on which we left Wu Tai was especially bright. This enabled me to walk over the snow up to the summit of the East Tai or Peak. While on the mountain I took a few pictures, which I have reproduced from collotype with explanations.’. – Spine a bit damaged with a little loss and a few small tears, contents fine
